About

Thank you for taking an interest in me and my craft! My name is Nora Bartley and I am home-studio potter based in Hamilton, Montana.
+
I found my way back to pottery in 2019 and it slowly but surely morphed from one class to an all-consuming hobby, then to a side-hustle, and now has been my main source of income since 2022.
+
I create a variety of work but my bestsellers are always mugs. I am known for my colorful style and snarky sayings!
+
I restock my website every 1-2 months and sometimes offer mug pre-orders as well. I try to limit myself so that I don’t get burned out on making the same design over and over again, so I often rotate through themes.

+

When my hands aren’t covered in clay, you can likely find me outside with my two pitties, exploring Montana with my partner Jeff, cooking, reading, making coffee, enjoying time with friends, and seeking joy and laughter wherever I can find it.
+
I hope to hold a safe and welcoming space for all humans that do the same for others.

LOCAL DELIVERY
If you are located in the Bitterroot Valley, I offer free delivery or pick-up for your order.

ARTIST TRADES
If you are a craftsperson of any kind, I am always interested in discussing trades of equivalent value rather than a monetary transaction. Whether it be a massage session, tattoo, other pottery and art mediums, or who knows what else! I love, love, love, love, LOVE supporting and promoting my fellow artists. If this is something you’d be interested in, let’s figure something out!

Bitterroot Mountain Range

Bitterroot Mountain Range

Why “Rooted” ? Two reasons.
1. I was born and raised in Montana’s breathtaking BitterROOT valley. When I chose my business name, this was partially an ode to the place that raised me.
2. Rooted. Grounded. Centered. The foundation of clay work and so many other aspects of our natural world. Above all others, this art form connects me so deeply to the root of my self. To the innermost workings and complexities of my mind, my body, and my soul.
